The Fighting Rangers On War, Politics and Burning Issues
Rudyard Kipling"
“When you're left wounded on Afganistan's plains and
the women come out to cut up what remains, Just roll to your rifle
and blow out your brains,
And go to your God like a soldier”
General Douglas MacArthur"
“We are not retreating. We are advancing in another direction.”
“It is fatal to enter any war without the will to win it.” “Old soldiers never die; they just fade away.
“The soldier, above all other people, prays for peace, for he must suffer and be the deepest wounds and scars of war.”
“May God have mercy upon my enemies, because I won't .” “The object of war is not to die for your country but to make the other bastard die for his.
“Nobody ever defended, there is only attack and attack and attack some more.
“It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived.
The Soldier stood and faced God
Which must always come to pass
He hoped his shoes were shining
Just as bright as his brass
"Step forward you Soldier,
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To My Church have you been true?"
"No, Lord, I guess I ain't
Because those of us who carry guns
Can't always be a saint."
I've had to work on Sundays
And at times my talk was tough,
And sometimes I've been violent,
Because the world is awfully rough.
But, I never took a penny
That wasn't mine to keep.
Though I worked a lot of overtime
When the bills got just too steep,
The Soldier squared his shoulders and said
And I never passed a cry for help
Though at times I shook with fear,
And sometimes, God forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.
I know I don't deserve a place
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around
Except to calm their fears.
If you've a place for me here,
Lord, It needn't be so grand,
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don't, I'll understand."
There was silence all around the throne
Where the saints had often trod
As the Soldier waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now, you Soldier,
You've borne your burden well.
Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in Hell."
Fascist & Godless Germany : Foundation wants to put plaque next to Bible verses on Berlin City Palace cupola to avoid offending Muslims

Berlin City Palace
Jihad Watch : Germany is no longer Christian, is ashamed of ever having been
Christian, and wants to make the growing number of Muslims in the
country feel welcome. And so any expression of its former cultural and
religious identity must be destroyed, or apologized for, as in this
case. It’s all for pluralism, you see. But of course German authorities
will eventually find that many of those for whom they performed these
acts of self-abnegation are not likewise willing to discard their own
customs and traditions for the sake of multicultural Germany. And then
what will happen?
“A misunderstanding of history and hollow relativism at the Berlin
City Palace,” translated from “Geschichtsklitterung und hohler
Relativismus am Berliner Stadtschloss,” Free the Words, October 26, 2021 (thanks to Medforth):
Bible verses adorn the dome of the Berlin City Palace.
The Palace Foundation considers this unacceptable. It is feared that
people of other religions might feel harassed by this Christian message.
That is why they want to put up a separate plaque next to the dome.
The Berlin City Palace was rebuilt beginning in 2013 and inaugurated
in December 2020. The real palace was almost completely destroyed by
bombs in 1945, and was finally blown up by the GDR rulers in 1950 and
replaced in 1971 by the Palace of the Republic (in GDR jargon “Palazzo
Prozzo” or “Erich’s lamp shop”).
Now, as has been the case for more than a century and a half, a
biblical phrase also adorns the dome of the newly built palace. In
1844, the Prussian King Friedrich Wilhelm IV chose the passage: “There
is salvation in no other, (…) but in the name of Jesus, to the glory of
God the Father. That in the name of Jesus every knee shall bow, of those
in heaven and on earth and under the earth” (Acts IV, 12 and
Philippians II, 10).
But now this: The Palace Foundation considers these sentences to be
an unreasonable “claim to dominance by Christianity” and wants to point
this out with its own text panel. They fear that people of other
religions might feel oppressed by this Christian message. That is why
they want to put up a special plaque next to the cupola. It will read:
“All institutions in the Humboldt Forum expressly distance themselves
from Christianity’s claim to sole validity and dominance, which is
expressed in the inscription.”
Is there more self-abnegation possible? Can it get any more stupid
and cowardly? Apparently, the Humboldt Forum does not even know its
namesake. Otherwise it would have taken note of the following sentence
and slowed itself down. Wilhelm von Humboldt wrote in his “Letters to a
Friend” on April 25, 1823: “Nowhere is this fatherly concern of God for
the happiness of every single individual so truly expressed as in
Christianity and in the New Testament.”
Works of art renamed in politically correct fashion
Once again the politically correct, retroactive exorcists inflate
themselves. The fact that they don’t know “their” Humboldt should
actually be enough. But the fact that they implicitly deny that the
civil and human rights of the modern world are unthinkable without the
Enlightenment and without Christianity (!) and Judaism raises doubts
about this institution. The circus around the Biblical passage is
consistent with other positions of the Humboldt Forum: it presents the
Ethnological Museum as an excuse for colonialism. Kowtow over kowtow to
one’s own sin and vanity!
How would you like it, you pseudo-Humboldtians? Perhaps a city palace
with minarets and daily muezzin calls – as they are now allowed to ring
out on Fridays from up to 41 Cologne mosques? Are you satisfied then?
Sure, Islam has absolutely nothing to do with any claim to power.
Or do you have other role models? For example, the “culturally
sensitive” renaming of kindergarten parades on the occasion of St.
Martin’s Day (November 11th) to “lantern parades”? Or the equally
“culturally sensitive” renaming of Christmas markets to “light and star
markets”? Or is a Bavarian tourism association a role model for you? It
retouched the summit crosses on brochures advertising a tour through the
Alps in Arabic.
No, friends, what you are doing here is the worship of a hollow
relativism, and a denial of what Germany, Europe and the whole of the
West are all about.
